– Press-ready PDF preparation –

In order to prepare a press-ready PDF file, please use the following guide lines.

• Use Acrobat Distiller 5.0 or later to distill a postscript file. Postscript files must be Postscript Level 2 or 3. (Postscript Level One does not support any spot colors.) Do not use PDF Writer or other programs to distill the files.

• In Distiller under Job Options…use Press Ready settings. You must use this setting to have a high enough resolution for print work. (Resolution 2400 to 2540 dpi.)

• Embed all fonts, do not subset. Do not use any RGB images.

• If job has a bleed, you must include the bleed in the PDF file.
Ie: 8 1⁄2 x 11 sheet bleeds all four sides, PDF would measure 8 3⁄4 x 11 1⁄4. This is .125” or 1/8” bleed on each side. DO NOT include crop marks in your PDF as we will impose the job for printing.
